Here is my story
I am executive assistant to the Chairman and the President of Lockard. My job is to assist these two busy executives to manage their time in the most efficient way through scheduling their appointments, logging their phone calls, filing paperwork, and helping to expedite requests. I’m referred to as the “gatekeeper!”I have been working at the executive level for approximately 25 years. I consider myself a very organized person that can manage several tasks and multiple bosses at one time. When I graduated from college many years ago, I had taken the normal secretarial courses…Word, Excel, 10-key, Grammar, etc. I also took Gregg Shorthand. Anyone remember that? I was in the last shorthand class that was offered at my college. Since then, speedwriting has become the updated form of “shorthand.” I’m very proud of mastering this skill and it has come in handy many times in my job!

I am one of those people that love their job and feel blessed by God to be able to work for a company that has as their Core Values integrity, excellence, and humility. Each day presents its own challenges and no two days are alike, and I love it that way.
When I am not working, I enjoy quilting and learning to play the piano. I also enjoy traveling back to Fort Worth, Texas, where my husband and I lived for 35 years, to visit our children and grandchildren.
