Vivion Road Kmart SOLD! Redevelopment to Begin Immediately

Cedar Falls, IA – August 29th, 2017 – Lockard, a Cedar Falls, IA based real estate developer has officially closed on the former Kmart property located at 2835 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO. Representing the buyer was Dustin Whitehead, CCIM, with Lockard and Jared Frost with Point Commercial.

The newly named Shoppes at Vivion Point will be a $45 million, 17.65 –acre retail rehabilitation project. Anchored by national retailer

Hobby Lobby, and family entertainment center Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park, the Shoppes at Vivion Point are sure to generate excitement among the Kansas City Northland residents.

“Redevelopment of the property will begin immediately and we plan to have our first tenant open their doors in the spring of 2018,” said David Wilson, CCIM, Executive Vice President of Development for Lockard. “We are committed to bringing the best mix of tenants into the Shoppes at Vivion Point and providing the community with a destination shopping experience that was previously unavailable.”

Working with local officials, Lockard has committed to developing the site to include over 155,000 sf of retail, entertainment, and restaurant space, as well as addressing the current damaging storm water runoff problems. The storm water upgrades are expected to cost upward of $1.7 million dollars.
